Our Family’s Values

When the Monte family founded Deluxe Foods of Aptos almost four decades ago, they had a pretty good idea of the kind of grocery they wanted to build.
First, they offered a wide selection of everyday staples, along with the highest quality meats, seafood and produce. Definitely old school, but in a good way.
Then they took it a step further, with a huge selection of wines, a cheese shop with hundreds of choices, a deli, bakery, floral department, even a Peet’s coffee kiosk. Not to mention over a thousand different specialty food items.
The final piece of their plan was yet another old-school value: Service.
Whether you’ve been living here for generations, or you’re just here on vacation—we treat you like family—with kindness, respect and always with a smile.
Needless to say, the Monte family got it right. It’s why we’ve been the favorite grocery in Aptos for almost 40 years.
